The Week in Winners: Tickets in Brooklyn Park, College Park, Hagerstown, Landover Win $100,000

Players across the state won nearly $32.1 million during week ending Sept. 24

The Powerball top prize has surged to an estimated jackpot approaching $800 million for the Sept. 25 drawing, but it was scratch-off tickets that delivered the Maryland Lottery’s biggest prizes last week.

Maryland Lottery players in Brooklyn Park, College Park, Hagerstown and Landover claimed $100,000 scratch-off prizes in the past week, and another nine players each won $50,000 in the same span playing scratch-off and draw games.

In all, 31 Maryland Lottery tickets worth $10,000 or more were sold or redeemed in the seven days ending Sept. 24, and the Lottery paid nearly $32.1 million in prizes during that span.

Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes of up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations. All Maryland Lottery retailers are authorized to redeem tickets up to and including $600. More information is available on the How To Claim page of mdlottery.com.
