A Maryland Lottery player hit a walk-off home run to start the holiday weekend thanks to a $182,263 FAST PLAY Home Run Riches Walk-Off Winnings ticket sold July 2 in Parkton.
The ticket was purchased on Friday at the High’s store at 19200 Middletown Road. The northern Baltimore County retailer receives a $1,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
The $5 FAST PLAY Home Run Riches Walk-Off Winnings game went on sale March 2 on the eve of the baseball season.
As of Friday, 13 top prizes remain as the progressive jackpot resets to $40,000. There are also thousands of additional instant-win prizes ranging from $5 to $5,000.
Enter winning or non-winning $5 Home Run Riches Walk-Off Winnings tickets into My Lottery Rewards for the chance to be Contestants of the Game — one for each Baltimore Orioles regular season game.
Each Contestant of the Game wins $500 for being selected, along with $500 for each home run and $5,000 for each grand slam hit by an Orioles player during their designated game.
Lottery players can also enter the Contestant of the Game promotion with the opportunity to opt in for the chance to win a VIP Gameday Experience prize. The VIP winners will receive $2,000 for being selected in addition to the prizes for any home runs or grand slams the Orioles hit in their designated game.
Two more drawings remain for both the VIP Gameday Experience and Contestants of the Game on July 21 and Aug. 25. Lottery players must enter each drawing separately. Each entry is valid only for the next available drawing and will not carry over into the following drawings.
The Lottery urges the winners to sign the backs of winning tickets and keep them safe. Winners have 182 days from the date of the drawing (or the purchase of a winning FAST PLAY ticket) to claim their prizes.
Instructions for claiming prizes are available on the How to Claim page of the Lottery website. Prizes of more than $25,000 must be claimed through Lottery headquarters, either in person or by mail. Lottery headquarters is in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330, in Baltimore. An appointment is required to claim in person (no walk-ins).
