The Week in Winners: $5.1 Million Multi-Match Jackpot in Carroll County Leads Big Week for Winners

Players across Maryland won more than $32.5 million during week ending May 15

A record-setting $5.1 million Multi-Match jackpot on a ticket sold in Hampstead was by far the biggest Maryland Lottery prize won last week. Meanwhile, just in time for Preakness week, a Racetrax player in Edgewood landed an $86,841.90 prize.

In all, 48 tickets worth $10,000 or more were sold or redeemed in the seven days ending May 8, and the Lottery paid a total of more than $32.5 million in prizes during that span.

Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes of up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations. All Maryland Lottery retailers are authorized to redeem tickets up to and including $600. Lottery prizes valued up to and including $25,000 can be redeemed at any of Maryland’s six licensed casinos.
