The Week in Winners: No Fooling: Lottery Players Win Big Across the State on April 1

Players across Maryland won more than $38.1 million during week ending April 3

It was no April Fools’ Day prank when a Maryland Lottery player in Pasadena landed a $124,630 FAST PLAY progressive jackpot win on April 1. Meanwhile, two Pick 5 players and a Powerball player were big winners on tickets purchased April Fools’ Day in Bryans Road, Charlotte Hall and Parkville. And last week’s largest prize was a $250,000 win on a scratch-off sold in Mitchellville.

In all, there were 31 Maryland Lottery tickets worth $10,000 or more that were sold or redeemed in the seven days ending April 3, and the Lottery paid a total of more than $38.1 million in prizes during that span.

Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes of up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations. All Maryland Lottery retailers are authorized to redeem tickets up to and including $600. More information is available on the How To Claim page of mdlottery.com.
