Rosedale Shell Sells Cash4Life Ticket Worth $1,000 a Week for Life

Second-tier win in Cash4Life, top-prize in Bonus Match 5 highlight the weekend

Two lucky Maryland Lottery players landed big wins this past weekend, courtesy of the multi-state Cash4Life game and Maryland’s Bonus Match 5 game. Rosedale Shell in Baltimore sold a second-tier winning Cash4Life ticket worth $1,000 a week for life on Sunday, Aug. 8, and Royal Farms #098 in Millersville sold a $50,000 top-prize winning Bonus Match 5 ticket on Friday, Aug. 6.

The player holding the lucky Cash4Life ticket is the second person to win a second-tier $1,000-a-week-for-life Cash4Life prize in Maryland in 2021. It is also the fifth second-tier winner since the game became available in the state in 2016.

Rosedale Shell located at 7514 Pulaski Highway in Baltimore will receive a $2,500 bonus from the Lottery for selling the second-tier winning Cash4Life ticket. The winner can choose between a $1,000-a-week-for-life annuity paid in annual installments of $52,000 a year, or a one-time payment of $1 million (both amounts are before taxes). Check your ticket for the winning numbers of 6, 23, 31, 44 and 48 the Cash Ball was 2. Our lucky $1,000-a-week-for-life winner matched the first five numbers, but narrowly missed out on winning the top prize of $1,000 a day for life because the ticket did not match the Cash Ball number.

Royal Farms #098 located at 8200 Veterans Highway in Millersville will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery for its lucky sale. The Bonus Match 5 winning numbers to match from the Aug. 6 drawing are 2, 15, 17, 25 and 35; the Bonus ball was 8. This is the 29th top-prize winning Bonus Match 5 ticket sold in Maryland in 2021.

Winners have 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes. Lottery officials strongly encourage all winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and keep them in a safe location.

Our big winners can claim the prizes by mail or in person at Maryland Lottery headquarters, 1800 Washington Blvd., Baltimore. Get details on how to claim by mail here, and how to schedule an appointment here.
